Disney is looking for an Irish person to star as the lead in their new film

Disney is on the hunt for an Irish boy to cast as the lead role in their new movie.

The company is adapting Eoin Colfer’s novel Artemis Fowl which tells the story a 12-year-old boy who attempts to take gold from the ‘Fairy People’.

They are looking for males aged between 9 and 13 who is under 5’3. The actor must have, or be able to do an Irish accent and can be any ethnicity.

The casting agents add that no previous acting experience is necessary.

Auditions take place in Dublin, Galway and Cork at the end of September and beginning of October.

Those interested should send a recent photo, age and height details to emily.brockmann@disneympp.com by Monday September 18th.

In the email you should state which county you would like to audition in, or you can submit a self-tape.

Auditions take place in:

Galway on 29 & 30 September

Dublin on 1 October

Cork on 14 October
