‘Devastated,’ Conor McGregor pays heartfelt tribute to Las Vegas following shooting

Conor McGregor has taken to Instagram to pay a heartfelt tribute to Las Vegas following the horrific shooting incident on Monday.

Over 58 people died and over 500 hundred were injured in an attack at a country music festival.

Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old was named as the gunman.

Now, UFC fighter Conor McGregor said he was ‘devastated’ by the attack.

McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather in Vegas in late August and spent lots of time in the city.

“Absolutely devastated upon hearing the news in Las Vegas. A city with so much energy and life,” he said.

He added: “A city of celebration and enjoyment. A city so close to my heart. I pray for all the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this senseless act of violence.”

Various other Irish stars have paid their respects following the tragedy, including Niall Horan.

The singer took to Twitter to say: “Thoughts are with the victims and families of this terrible tragedy in Vegas.”
