David Walliams has been spotted out and about in Dublin.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge was over in Ireland last night, where he received a prestigious accolade at the Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards.
The broadcaster, who has released a number novels and sold over 20 million copies, was presented with the International Recognition Award.
Speaking about the award, David said, “This is delightful news. I am so pleased that my friends in Ireland have given me this huge honour.
“I love writing books for children and will continue doing so for as long as people want to read them.”
The star met a number of Irish writers on the night, including the wonderful Cecelia Ahern.
David shared a picture of the pair together, and told his followers of how it was “lovely to meet” her.
The full ceremony will air on RTE One at 9.30pm this Wednesday. Will you be tuning in?
