Daniel and Majella O’Donnell have revealed that this might be their their final Road Trip B&B series.
Ireland’s golden couple are gearing up for the launch of the second series of their hit show next month, but it seems like neither of them believe there’s a third series on the cards.
Daniel admitted he doesn’t see a future for the series, despite the show’s enormous popularity.
“I’m not convinced there will be any more series.” he told TV Now magazine.
Majella is of the same mindset of her hubby, and she doesn’t think they’ll be visiting B&Bs around Ireland again, as she fears they may not have the same level of success the third time around – and she’s eager to go out on a high.
“I don’t think there will be a third series because we feel that there are only so many B&Bs in the country that are willing to apply for it and do it.” she said.
“You need a personality at the B&B, because it’s not just about what the B&B is like, it’s an entertainment show, so if you don’t have a character it wouldn’t work; so we’ve probably exhausted it, if you like.
“We’ve done so many so you’re better going off on a high.”
Majella went on to tease that her and Daniel might be working on something new together in the future, but kept tight lipped about the details.
“But you never know, there might be something else in the pipeline that myself and Daniel could do together as ourselves.” she said.
“Who knows, but definitely it could be something that we’d do together.”
The second series of Daniel and Majella’s Road Trip B&B will air Tuesday 7th March at 8:30pm on RTE One.
