This will add an extra competitive aspect to the competition.

Dancing With The Stars is adding a new element to their usual format next week, and the pressure is well and truly on for the remaining contestants.

In a bid to shake things up, last Sunday’s show saw the switch-up happen between the celebs and their partners, and now next week is set to have another surprise twist.

Bosses at the dancing competition have decided to introduce a dance-off element after the public votes have been counted. Once the two couples with the lowest amount of votes have been revealed, they will take to the dance floor again and fight for their place on the show.

There was some controversy over the public vote when Des Bishop was voted off the show.

The hope is that this change will rid the competition of any controversy concerning the public vote, and will see the RTE version of the show following the UK format of letting the judges have the final word on who stays and who goes.

We’re looking forward to seeing how this plays out next weekend. You can catch Dancing With The Stars next Sunday on RTE One at 6:30pm.
