Tony McGregor may have spent years as a taxi driver, but the famous father is now opting for something very different.
Conor’s dad took to Instagram to share the exciting news writing ‘New year, new career’.
Perhaps inspired by his daughter Aoife’s wedding last year, he is set to become a celebrant.
When he completes his course, Tony will be qualified to officiate weddings.
“It’s an emerging market that’s expanded in the last few years — especially with the marriage referendum, for example.
“It’s not just weddings, the whole market has moved on from it being just weddings and funerals. You see an awful lot of humanist ceremonies nowadays,” he told the Sun.
“It’s not just training for the traditional services. You could be dealing with vow renewals, baptisms, naming ceremonies, anniversaries.
“People remarrying after getting divorced and so on.”
Perhaps we’ll see Tony and the top of the altar when Dee and Conor tie the knot… if they ever get engaged!
