Connacht rugby captain John Muldoon popped the question to his longterm love Lorna Byrne, while on a recent holiday in New York City. The pair have been together for four years and have been celebrating with family and friends since revealing the exciting news on social media.
Last month Lorna shared a pic of herself and her hubby-to-be with the caption “Strolling around NYC with my fiancé. Thanks so much for all the texts, calls, champagne and well wishes! #HappyHappyHappy #Engaged.”
Since returning from the Big Apple, the happy couple have celebrated in style with their loved ones at an engagement party. Sharing a number of snaps from the get together on Instagram Lorna wrote, “Twas the night of nights to be fair. #Engagement party.”
Although it’s not officially confirmed, it’s looking like planning is underway for the wedding which is set to take place in June 2017. Congratulations to the happy couple!
