Many took to the comments to comment Brian for taking this stance.

“Thanks Brian. It would be easier to hide from the issue like so many other influential people. Well done,” Brenda Morrissey said on Twitter.

“Good man BOD….. See a wee like from @robbiekeane go on Robbie, with men between 18-24 being more inclined to vote no a post from yourself could help swing a few votes for Yes, remember the divorce referendum only passed by 9000 odd votes, 3 votes per ballot box” Ross McMahon said.

“Delighted but not surprised to see this. The empathy of Irish men, and their love for the women in their lives will ring true on Friday. Tá for all mná. Thanks Brian” Jenny Owen-Thomas added on Instagram.

Others criticised Brian for voting yes.

“Will this really make our healthcare progressive?” Edward Roche said on Twitter.

“No. No. Little innocent babies” Eilish said on Instagram.

“Very disappointed Brian,” another added.

Many people were not surprised at Brian’s stance, due to Amy Huberman being vocal about a yes vote in the past.
