Huge news for Brian O’Driscoll today as it’s been revealed that he has landed himself a new job with the sports division of American company, Teneo holdings.
The Irish rugby legend has just become the senior advisor with the New-York based firm. The company does a whole host of things, including providing advice for FIFA, as well as dealing with big name clients such as Coca-Cola, Samsung and McDonalds.
Speaking to the Irish Times, Brian said that he feels that he can gain a lot of knowledge from the company and can add his own experience from the sporting sector to the role.
“Given the level of clients and brands that they are associated with, there’s a huge amount of experience I can gain while adding my own experience to a sector that they are looking at building.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to grow and evolve. I’d like to think that what I can offer will transfer across a lot of different sports, not just be specific to rugby,” he said.
Although the company is located in the USA, BOD and the fam won’t be leaving the emerald isle. Brian will primarily be working with Blue Rubicon, a London based organisation which was taken over by Teneo.
