There’s a big change in store for Louise Duffy, as Today FM are undergoing a station revamp.

Presenter Louise Duffy has revealed that she is moving from her usual 2:30pm afternoon slot, and taking on a new challenge of the 7pm show.

As herself and Feral D’Arcy swapped time slots, the 31-year-old noted that the schedule will now be predominantly male from 7am to 7pm. She told The Herald that despite this, her female voice was always heard at the station.

“You can’t really deny that. It’s evident in the schedule.

“We have some very strong male presenters but females are very present too. Today FM has always nurtured emerging female presenters and have always had my back,” she said.

“I know the argument is out there and there’s lots of concern and it is changing slightly. I was very proud to be there in the afternoon but you can’t just be there because you’re a female voice.

“That’s the business we’re in. You have to be flexible and ready to move. I’m excited about getting involved in something new,” she told the newspaper.

The new evening slot, which she’ll begin in August, allows Louise to focus on our work projects, including her website womenswearstory.com. The site combines her love of fashion and music.
