Majella O’Donnell revealed yesterday that herself and Daniel have received some bizarre fan requests over the years, including one asking for their wedding night sheets from the hotel after their 2002 nuptials.

The revelation was made yesterday when the couple launched their new new reality show on UTV Ireland, which will be launching in October.

Daniel’s other half laughed as she recalled the odd request: “I think that happened after our wedding actually in the hotel. Someone came and asked could they have the sheets. I don’t know if they got them.”

For their new show, Daniel and Majella’s B&B Road Trip, the pair will be traveling around Ireland staying in 12 different B&B’s for a six part series and they are very confident the show will be a huge success.

Daniel told The Daily Mirror: “I think our show is very different to Pat (Kenny’s). We don’t go into things thinking about ratings. It’s a great opportunity to promote Ireland and I think that’s fantastic. We know what it’s like to live here, be it from the city or the country in Ireland, your home is your home.”

The O’Donnell’s say they do not expect to be mobbed by fans as they believe Daniel is already very approachable and relatively available to his supporters.

However, they said they wouldn’t be surprised if some die-hard fans asked to stay in the rooms they have stayed in once they depart as they have had their fair share of obsessive followers over the years – including the one who asked for their bed sheets!

The couple want the programme to show their true colors and admit there could even be a few spats between Ireland’s golden couple along the way.

“There will be no guarantees we won’t rub each other up the wrong way. It will be us as we are if that means we disagree about something so be it,” Majella said.
