Amy Huberman has warned fans about a scam circulating on social media.

The actress took to Twitter this week to alert fans and encourage them not to click onto any suspicious links.

“Lads and lasses there’s a scam appearing online on sites linking me to an anti-aging ‘beauty cream’ and/or ‘makeup’, one called ‘Dermavix’???!” she said.

“It’s a complete scam and all articles relating to them fabricated so pls ignore! Have legals on it…”

She also asked anyone who came across the fake articles and links to let send them her way.

“If they do pop up, if you could copy the link and DM them to me on Instagram (can’t here!) so we can go about ridding them we’d really appreciate it! Thanks a mill x”

She added: “I think they were claiming you could get the skin of a toddler or some sort if you bought them. Looks like it’s back to the drawing board for science then on that one”

While Amy is not currently involved with any dodgy skincare brands she is promoting her new comedy show, Finding Joy.

The actress created, wrote and is staring in the show alongside other talented Irish stars such as Aisling Bea and Laura Whitmore.

Speaking about it she said she was nervous and excited for it to air.

“It’s terrifying, you spend a lot of hours in your own head.

“A comedy will either work or won’t it’s either going to be funny or it won’t – I know it’s objective and we all laugh at different things, like this is a comedy-drama, so there are beats of drama in it, but you still need jokes to land or they’ll just hang in the air forever, so there is pressure but I wanted to try it and do it, so once it’s out we’ll see what the public think.”
