Pippa O’Connor and Brian Ormond are celebrating seven years as husband and wife this week.
The couple tied the knot surrounded by 120 of their nearest and dearest at St Patrick’s Church, Curtlestown followed by a celebration in Powerscourt hotel in Wicklow. They invited a further 200 guests to a ‘nightclub’ style reception.
Celebrity guests including Mickey Joe Harte, who was Brian’s best man, as well as Claudine and Robbie Keane, Rosanna Davidson, Roz Purcell, Sarah Morrissey, Georgia Salpa and Daniella Moyles and many more.
Pippa stunned in a Monique Lhuillier dress with a feathered skirt and boned bodice, accessorised by a full-length veil and a pair of diamond earrings from Paul Sheeran and sparkling Jimmy Choo heels.
In our exclusive interview from 2011, Pippa spoke about the emotional ceremony: “I was at the top of the aisle before I knew it. I was so excited. I was half afraid to look Brian in the eye, though, in case I burst into tears! I kept saying to myself ‘Keep it together, keep in together.'”
Brian added: “I made sure I didn’t turn around early – I left it until Pippa was standing beside me with her dad. I knew she was going to look nice, but I couldn’t believe how fantastic she looked, she was incredible.
Speaking about the first morning they woke up as husband and wife, Brian said that Pippa couldn’t believe she was married: “Pippa hadn’t even opened her eyes and the first words out of her mouth were ‘Was this a dream?’ I turned over, gave her a kiss on the cheek and said, ‘good morning Mrs Ormond'”.
Pippa added: “I don’t feel like I’m a wife yet! Brian is calling me ‘wifey’ but it doesn’t feel real yet! It’s a very surreal thing, but a nice thing.”
