Stars of hit show A League of Their Own, Jamie Redknapp, Andrew Flintoff and Rob Beckett last night performed a hurling challenge for the show in Co. Kilkenny.

The sportsmen attended the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship game between Wexford and Kilkenny in Nowlan Park last night, and were kitted out on the full Kilkenny strip.

Andrew (Freddie) Flintoff posted some behind the scenes action with the huge crowd at the game, where they performed a half time challenge, along with Kilkenny hurling legend DJ Carey to be aired on the Sky One show.

“I’ve seen hurling matches on Sky Sports and it’s so entertaining. The pace of the game is incredible,” Freddie says of his trip to Nowlan Park.

Jamie Redknapp, said: “I love Ireland and to be a part of the Irish home sport is great. Competing against the teams and being involved with the sport will be something to remember.”

The UK sports stars are showing more and more interest in GAA, as last year the legendary commentating duo Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling followed the All-Ireland Senior Football championship all the way to Croke Park to commentate on the All-Ireland Final.
