2FM pay touching tribute to Larry Gogan as he finishes up after 40 years

RTE 2FM has paid a touching tribute to Larry Gogan, as he finishes up at the station after 40 years.

Marking his last broadcast, 2FM have asked to be called Larry Gogan FM for the day.

The acclaimed broadcaster is venturing into pastures new, working on their digital station, RTE Gold, weekdays from 1pm.

Speaking about the move, Larry said, “I have loved all my time on 2FM and would like to thank all the amazing support from all my listeners, great colleagues and all the fantastic Irish and International artists I have been privileged to support and be a part of their success.

“I am thrilled to be moving over to Gold full time and being part of that exciting new digital world.”

Before moving on, Larry will host one more show today, between 3pm-4pm, reliving some of his best moments over the years.
